CBG Biotech Service and Maintenance Policies
Extended Service Agreement (for North American customers only)
The CBG Biotech Extended Service Agreement states that
after the original warranty expires, if a problem occurs
that cannot be corrected over the telephone, a replacement
solvent recycler will be shipped within two business days (Premium Plan),
five business days (Standard Plan), or a service person
dispatched, regardless of the service needed.
- This agreement covers the cost of all packing, shipping, parts and labor.
There are no hidden costs.
- If the solvent recycler is not functioning properly, contact our 24-hour
customer service department via our toll free number, 1-800-941-9484.
We will provide service personnel, or a replacement machine will be
shipped within two to five working days, thus limiting your potential downtime.
- If the solvent recycler is in for service and your model has been upgraded, CBG
Biotech will add the upgrades. (at no expense to you)
Leased Solvent Recycler Equipment (for North American customers only)
All leases automatically carry a full warranty policy through the
term of the lease that is identical to the CBG Biotech Extended
Service Agreement.
Repairs Without Extended Service Agreement (for North American customers only)
If a customer does not purchase a service agreement and repairs are necessary,
the following fees will be assessed.
- Freight to and from your facility: usually between $200-$500 each way
- Factory Diagnostics and Service Time: estimate $500 –$1,000
- Replacement Parts: usually $100-$1,300
An extended service agreement may be purchased anytime after the original
warranty expires. However, should your solvent recycler require service (other than
service provided by telephone), that service will be performed at your own
expense. If you have no warranty coverage for more than a 30-day period, the
first repair needed after the extended warranty is purchased will have a $500
deductible associated with it. If an unauthorized person services this equipment
at anytime, CBG Biotech cannot be responsible.
Service and Repairs for Customers Outside of North America
Customers outside of North America can rely on the expertise and customer
service of CBG Biotech's select network of distributors to readily solve
issues as they may arise.
Customer Commitment
CBG Biotech is committed to its customers and their solvent recycling program. If a
repair can be safely performed on site by facility personnel, with the guidance
of our technical department, then CBG Biotech will offer this alternative.
Preventative Maintenance
The CBG Biotech Solvent Recycler has no moving parts that require periodic attention,
no motors that require brush changes or lubrication, and no disassembly for
cleaning purposes. The unit is self-cleaning during operation and automatically
drains all waste materials from the system.
Operational history has shown that no periodic or preventative maintenance is
required when the solvent recycler is operated according to the instructions provided in the user’s manual.
Service Manual and Equipment Maintenance
The CBG Biotech equipment utilizes the latest electrical and computer components
available in order to manufacture a recycler capable of distilling flammable,
volatile solvents. In order to ensure that serviced equipment operates in the most
efficient and safe manner possible, we discourage untrained personnel from attempting
to service our units.
CBG Biotech follows all Underwriter Laboratories specifications in regards to
manufacturing, refurbishing and servicing of our recyclers. If an unauthorized
person services this equipment at anytime, CBG Biotech cannot be responsible.
CBG Biotech has developed a comprehensive Total Replacement Policy to ensure that
our customers needs are being met.
