Position Summary

As a Junior Engineer at CBG Biotech, you will perform on-site and remote hands-on troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance services to our valued customers, perform QA, QC activities as well as drafting of our equipment and systems.   You will gain direct experience and essential knowledge of our equipment, operations and customer applications.   

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and/or repair of CBG units both in-house and at customer site.
  • Using SolidWorks (CAD) software, coordinate, create and maintain drawings based on specifications from Production, Engineering and Service team members.
  • Using SolidWorks (CAD) software, process drawing revisions approved through CBG’s Engineering Change Order (ECO) procedure.
  • Produce high-quality end-user documentation, such as User Manuals, Quick Start Guides, etc. that meet applicable standards and are appropriate for our customer audience.
  • Perform quality inspections of CBG equipment. Record accurate test results. Analyze test results/data to submit to CBG Engineering team to facilitate improved quality, production efficiency and equipment performance.
  • Identify training opportunities to pursue with CBG’s Technical Services and Production associates.
  • Identify and relay new product opportunities to CBG Product Development team.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers during regularly scheduled office weeks.  

Requirements

  • Minimum BS degree in related Engineering field from an ABET accredited school
  • Knowledge and experience with wiring, cabling and programming
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, 3D, Microsoft Office Suite
  • General knowledge of plumbing

  • Competency with hand tools and meters
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to travel 50%
