PART-TIME TEMPORARY ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST
Position Summary
CBG has an immediate opening for a Part-time, temporary Accounting Specialist. This position requires accounting theory knowledge, bookkeeping skills, knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and computer proficiency. You will process receivables/payables, account reconciliations, commissions and other responsibilities to support the CBG team and our customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Accounts Receivable function, including, but not limited to invoicing, reconciliation, posting deposits, collections, account liaison
- Manage the Accounts Payable function including, but not limited to invoice entry, Purchase Order review, reconciliation and vendor payment
- Reconcile accounting discrepancies by evaluating relevant account information
- Generate and submit applicable journal entries for approval
- Reconcile monthly statements and transactions to support ledgers and accounting records
- File various monthly, quarterly tax returns as required
- Compute monthly and quarterly sales commissions
- Reconcile company credit cards, expense reports and other expenditures
- Review, analyze and adjust financial data/information to generate Financial Statements that depict CBG's current financial status
- Generate accurate Financial Statements for submission to CBG Biotech management team.
- Cross train in Customer Service and Sales Order entry
- Supporting general office tasks (order supplies, facility management, receptionist back-up)
Requirements
- Associates degree in Accounting + 3 years Bookkeeping/Accounting experience
- Skillful verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence, self-motivation and determination to succeed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs - Outlook, Word, Excel programs
- Familiarity with NetSuite ERP System a plus
