STAFF ACCOUNTANT

CORE DUTIES

  • Prepare and submit Financial Statements
  • Reconcile discrepancies by evaluating relevant account information
  • Participate in budget process
  • Process daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • File various monthly, quarterly tax returns
  • Compute monthly and quarterly sales commissions
  • Process invoices to customers
  • Maintain strong credit and collection practices to minimize past-due receivables and bad debt
  • Reconcile and process vendor invoices; weekly check run
  • Reconcile company credit cards
  • Crosstrain in Customer Service and Sales Order entry
  • Crosstrain in Purchasing
  • Various general office tasks (order supplies, facility management, receptionist back up, etc.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting + 3 years Accounting/Bookkeeping experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence, self-motivation and determination to succeed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of programs Outlook, Word, Excel programs
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite ERP System helpful, but will train.

CBG has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant. This growth-oriented position is designed for motivated candidates to develop their accounting, financial planning and analysis skills. This position requires knowledge of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), strong analytical skills and computer proficiency. Under the direction of our Controller, you will generate Financial Statements, process receivables/payables, account reconciliations, commissions and a variety of other tasks to support the CBG team and our customers.
